Highlights of 2016

We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. (John 9:4 ESV)

This was our verse for 2016. It has a feeling of urgency – John is essentially saying, Do not waste time.

We began the year with a sense that in the chaos and suffering of war and upheaval, God was providing his church with an unprecedented opportunity to bring the good news to Arab Muslims. We did not know how long this would last (we still don’t!) and wanted to make the most of it.

Follow Me 2017

Our initiative for 2017

If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. (Matthew 16:24 NLT)

Jesus used the phrase follow me a number of times. It comes as both a warning of potentially hard times (see above verse) and a promise of blessing (see Matthew 4:19).

A life-changing journey

One of our aims for 2016, through our While it is Day initiative, is to empower the global church to minister to Muslim refugees more effectively. ‘The Journey’ is a video-based course that takes people through the Old Testament to discover the truth about the coming Messiah, Jesus. It was designed for people of the Arab world, by believers from the Arab world. It is an amazing resource and we are privileged to partner with this ministry.
