The Edge

The Edge is a summer ministry of Pioneers. Our heart is to mobilize and mentor this generation to passionately follow Jesus and discover their role in God's Mission.

 

Pre-field Preparation

Learn about the culture, ministry and people you will be going to. Develop prayer and financial partners for the summer as you prepare. Prepare yourself spiritually and emotionally.

 

Orientation

Continue preparing for this summer as you learn about your team, spiritual warfare, cross-cultural differences, the biblical foundation of missions and the value of prayer.

 

Field Internship

Spend 4-8 weeks living among people who have little or no access to the gospel. Participate in cross-cultural ministry opportunities with experienced field missionaries.

 

Debrief

Reflect on what God has done in, through and around you as you process the summer with your teammates and Pioneers staff. Consider what steps God is asking you to take in His mission.

It has an abundance of skyscrapers, shopping malls, luxury hotels and homes coupled with beautiful beaches and guaranteed sunshine. Monday 16 April 2012 Pray for the impact of The Seekers, a film sharing the testimonies of believers from the Gulf. Released almost two years ago, the film has now been made available for download on mobile phone. With thousands of Gulf Arabs accessing the internet through mobile devices, this is an important development.   Pray that many in the Gulf would watch this film and learn that there are Christians in their own nations. May many make the choice to believe and follow Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Read More
