Bahrain

Friday 18 March 2011

Pray for the crown prince of Bahrain (Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa). May he realise that those demonstrating (mainly Shia Muslims) must be listened to and have a right to make their views known.

Pray that demonstrations would be peaceful on both sides and that human rights would not be violated.

Pray that the government would sit down and talk with opposition leaders to make compromise where needed.

If, as it seems, the presence of foreign troops is only causing more violent clashes, pray that the crown prince will ask them to leave.

Note: We try to avoid making political commentary, but this can be a fine line to tread when making reference to current affairs. Freedom to speak, think and believe what you choose is a human right, but it is not our place to say how that should look in an Arab context - though it would probably differ to a Western one. Above all, we want to see people's physical and spiritual needs met, and God glorified in every Arab nation.

Special Report: Kabyle Ministry in Algeria

Articles

Tamusni.org is a ministry website similar to Maarifa but in the Kabyle language, which is spoken by 5 to 7 million worldwide. In 2011, we received just over 142,000 visits to the site and 531 communications from individuals; 29 were passed on for face-to-face follow-up with an in-country believer. Read More

The Sky is Not the Limit

Blog

By a member of the Media Team   Dubai is one the most beautiful cities I have ever been to. It has an abundance of skyscrapers, shopping malls, luxury hotels and homes coupled with beautiful beaches and guaranteed sunshine. It is a rich man’s paradise and possibly the easiest non-Western place for a Westerner to be. Everything is shiny and new. It would be no great hardship to live there. It has everything you could wish for! Read More

Prayer Feed

Monday 16 April 2012 Pray for the impact of The Seekers, a film sharing the testimonies of believers from the Gulf. Released almost two years ago, the film has now been made available for download on mobile phone. With thousands of Gulf Arabs accessing the internet through mobile devices, this is an important development.   Pray that many in the Gulf would watch this film and learn that there are Christians in their own nations. May many make the choice to believe and follow Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Read More
