Point of interest: Part of Iraq is the region often referred to as the ‘cradle of civilization’ – the birthplace of writing, law, and the wheel!

Christianity: Iraq has lost as much as 50 percent of its Christian population since the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime in 2003.

Mission work: Iraq is a hard place to be so there are few Christian workers there at present. Most serve in the mainly Kurdish north, which is more stable.

Prayer requests:

  1. Pray for lasting peace and stability, particularly in Baghdad. Pray that Iraq would be transformed and that its people would live in freedom from fear and violence.
  2. Pray for the safety and protection of those who serve in Iraq with the purpose of bringing the hope and joy of Christ into the lives of Iraqis.
  3. Pray that the gospel would reach parts of Iraq where believers cannot go through our ministry website and other, similar websites. Pray that more Iraqis would have a desire to know who Jesus is.
