Today we remember the ministry of Arab World Media, praying for our teams and the work they do…

Our teams

Arab World Media is a diverse group of almost forty individuals, who represent nine nations and work in six different time zones. Some of us are from the Arab world, and for almost half of us English is a second language. We have different evangelical backgrounds and we vary in age. But the one thing we share is our love and passion for the people of the Arab world.
Team of people
At the front end of our ministry are those dedicated to being in contact with seekers and new believers. Others work to develop and promote the content on our Arabic website and social media pages. We have web developers, strategists, designers, video producers, artists, writers, project managers, programmers and IT specialists. Nor do we want to forget our support staff – the people who run our offices, pay our salaries, manage projects and raise awareness and finances to keep us going. Each of us is different but we all have the same goal: to see Christ glorified among Arab world Muslims.

  • Please pray that we would be physically and spiritually fit to serve in our individual roles.
  • Pray that our team would continue to grow in number.
  • Pray that those in leadership roles would have wisdom and be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

The work

Arab World Media has been discipling and connecting with Muslim seekers since 1959. Our ministry began with radio programmes in Morocco, then Bible study by distance learning.
Things have changed a lot since then. Today, we use social media and online communications to encourage believers and engage with those who are open to the gospel. The content we develop has specific people in mind, such as refugees, atheists, women and active seekers. It all leads to the truth: that Jesus is the way, and the truth and the life (John 14:16).

Short videos, articles and images encourage thought and discussion. People can get in touch in many ways – on the phone, or by email, WhatsApp or Messenger. We host private chat sessions with individuals and in a group setting. When a person is ready, we connect them with a believer in their own country. We’re speaking into people’s lives, telling them about the Saviour and helping them get to know him.

  • Pray that we would be sensitive to everything that is going on in the Arab world, which is rapidly changing.
  • Pray that our message of hope would get through to the right people.
  • Pray that our love for Arab world Muslims would be evident to those who visit our sites and pages.

There’s so much more we could ask you to pray for. If you’re keen to keep praying after this challenge, why not sign up to our newsletter, Impact, which includes a monthly prayer post called Breakthrough. The next one is due on 1 July, when we’ll be praying for the country of Iraq.

Don’t forget!

Make a comment below or use social media to let us know what you’ve been praying and how God has been speaking to you. Use the hashtag #RethinkingRamadan.

Tomorrow, as we rediscover, we’ll be looking at the Laylat al-Qadr – the Night of Power.
