Arab Muslims are very much connected to the world, especially through their phones. And just like we do, they need stimulating content to get their attention. There’s not enough time to watch and read everything, but something visually appealing, and not too lengthy either, might just make them stop and watch!
We’ve had Bible content on our website for many years and we get a steady stream of people actively studying the Word… but we want more.
Knowing how powerful the visual story is, we have come up with a creative way of sharing the Word of God. The Message of the Bible is a series of short, animated videos taking viewers on a journey to introduce them to the heart of the Bible.
The first of ten videos was launched on our ministry website just last week. View it below.
In this episode, which has so far been viewed more than 4,000 times, we introduce the viewer to Genesis. The narrator talks about God, the creator of the universe who is all-powerful and all-knowing, who created all things by his word, and who created human beings in his image.
This is in the Omani dialect of Arabic, but as funding comes in we’ll be able to expand to other dialects and languages, such as Kabyle, which is widely spoken in Algeria.
Later in the year, we’ll make The Message of the Bible available as an app, which people can download and watch offline. It will also be broadcast on Christian satellite channels in the region.
Here are some ways you can pray for this project:
- Pray that more people would view the first episode and share it with their friends.
- Pray that they would eagerly come back to view other episodes as they are released.
- Pray for seekers to make contact with us as questions come to mind and for our response team to have wisdom as they reply.
- Finally, pray for members of our team as they promote and develop the series. They need wisdom, creativity and, as always, the Spirit’s protection.
