Follow Me 2017
Our initiative for 2017
If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. (Matthew 16:24 NLT)
Jesus used the phrase follow me a number of times. It comes as both a warning of potentially hard times (see above verse) and a promise of blessing (see Matthew 4:19).
If you are reading this, it is highly likely that you have already responded positively to Jesus’ follow me invitation. At times it will have cost you something, as it should.
If the past few months of 2016 tell us anything, it’s that the year 2017 is going to be extraordinary… We have seen an unusual increase in people professing faith in Christ as well as those requesting follow up with a believer in their country. The Holy Spirit seems to be drawing many more Muslims to the Saviour.
Each of these individuals has a unique faith journey ahead of them. However, every one of them will need support and encouragement along the way – someone to talk to, a safe place to share, spiritual guidance… This is a big part of our ministry and we hope to share more about how this takes shape over the coming twelve months.
Please join us, at the beginning of 2017, in praying for God’s anointing on our ministry. As individuals, we will need to stand strong and keep our eyes fixed on him throughout the year. As a team, we need to remain in unity.
