What do Muslims believe?

Here are some key beliefs that Muslims hold…

1. God

Muslims believe there is one God (Allah), who is eternal and sovereign.

2. Prophets

Muslims believe in many biblical prophets, such as Adam, Noah, Abraham and Moses. They consider Muhammad to be the final prophet of God.

3. Angels

Muslims believe in angels. The Qur’an is said to have been revealed to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel in a cave near Mecca.

4. Holy Books

The Qur’an is the holy book of Islam. Muslims also highly revere the Tawrat (Torah) and Injil (Gospel). However, they believe the Injil has been corrupted.

5. Judgement

Muslims believe there will be a day when all mankind is judged by God. They also believe in heaven and hell.

6. Predestination

Everything that happens, whether good or bad, is because it is God’s will.

7. Jesus

Muslims believe in Jesus but as a prophet rather than the son of God. They believe he was born of a virgin but that he did not die on the cross.
