When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? (Psalm 8:3-4 ESV)
It constantly amazes me that the God who created the universe knows me by name. It’s mind-blowing that the one who placed the stars in the sky is concerned about my seemingly insignificant life.
In the Gospel of Luke, at the end of the parable about the lost coin, Jesus says, ‘Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents’ (15:10 ESV). Clearly, it’s a big deal when just one person turns from their sins. How joyful heaven must be!
Joining with the angels
These past two years we at Arab World Media have seen a clear shift in the number of Muslims giving their lives to Christ. Across the Arab world, young and old, male and female are searching for life’s meaning and they are increasingly looking outside of Islam. Each day, at least one individual has made the wonderful decision to follow God’s Son, praying with a member of our response team.
We want to celebrate this, and what better an occasion than Thanksgiving, a special time of year for many of our supporters and team members! We invite you to join us in thanking God for the salvation of 269 lives (and counting) that have been saved this year through our ministry. Not that we take the glory – God has given us the privilege of welcoming these men and women into his kingdom.
We’re going to thank God for each individual by name and you can be a part of this. No matter where you are in the world, all you need to do is to get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Give us your name and address including country. In return, we’ll mail you a postcard with the name of one new believer. You can then praise God for that person and remember them in your prayers.
